We have designed, manufactured and assembled sophisticated machines used in the canning industry, repeatability gages, and clamping and locating fixtures. Specialty tooling applications continues to be a strong area of expertise for Qualitek Manufacturing.
Our programmers can work with your 2D or 3D files. We utilize a variety of software programs that interface with our CNC turning centers, 3 & 4-Axis CNC milling machines, and 5-Axis wire EDM machines. All of our software programs provide simulation runs prior to the cutting of chips. This assures maximum use of our machine tools by minimizing costly set-up and run-off delays.
To facilitate communication between design, programming and machine tools, Qualitek relies on an Intranet network.
We can program quickly on our conversational machine tool controllers or at any one of several CAD/CAM programming stations. Using our wire frame or solid model designs, or those supplied by you, we can mill anything to your design specification.
Use of our Brown & Sharp Coordinate Measuring Machine along with regular in process and final inspection by skilled toolmakers guarantees that we will meet your specifications.
Our Bridgeport Optical Comparator has full fiber optic edge sensing capabilities and utilizes a support computer with software for calculating functions.
Our Wire EDM Department uses fully submersible and non submersible machines which gives you prompt service for quick turnaround and design assistance for product development.
These machines are maintained to work within .0001 tolerances. We can offer you 5 Axis programming capabilities for up to a 15 _" cut from 0 to 30 degree angles using independent U-V Axis programming. We also have EDM Drill capabilities for burr free holes from .008/.125 dia in any material up to 12" thick.
Our Grinding Department has the capacity of 20" x 60" in surface grinding. A Moore #2 Jig Grinder is used for our jig grinding. We use a combination of quality equipment, skilled toolmakers, and the newest technology in grinding wheels (i.e. CBN, HPVB). We utilize the latest in grinding fixtures and wheel dressing accessories in any of our surface grinding operations. Our cylindrical grinding is still done in house when "hard turning" is not an efficient option. Our lapping machine has a 48" diameter table with all media timers.
Our Lathe Department offers both CNC and engine lathes. We can service all of your turning needs from single piece parts to production volume with intricate shapes in either soft or hardened materials.
